Spirit-Filled Conference Announces Location Change

Christian believers and leaders from the Spirit-empowered movement from around the world will gather June 5-7, 2019, in Bogota, Colombia, for Empowered21’s Latin America Congress. The congress was originally planned for Guatemala City at Casa de Dios, but due to recent developments between the church and the Guatemalan government, the E21 Global Council executive work group unanimously approved moving the congress to Bogota, Colombia in a recent meeting.

“We are very grateful that Global Council member and MCI pastor Cesar Castellanos has offered to host this important event on such short notice,” said Dr. Billy Wilson, E21 global co-chair and president of Oral Roberts University. “We believe this will be the largest and most impactful E21 Congress ever. There are now over 680 million Spirit-empowered believers around the world, and Latin America has been a key area for this amazing growth. This congress will focus on the future growth of this movement among new generations across Latin America and around the world. “

“We are uniting with other Spirit-empowered believers in Latin America to move forward with the congress,” said Castellanos. “We believe Bogota, which is home to some of the largest churches and ministries in the world, is the ideal location for this event, and we anticipate a powerful move of God when the congress convenes.”

Earlier this year, 29 of Latin America’s most influential Spirit-empowered leaders came together to seek the Lord, strategize and plan for the congress. The event will feature spiritual fathers and mothers in ministry side-by-side with their spiritual sons and daughters.

The regional congress will begin on Wednesday night with a Latin American ceremony and will close with an anointing service for the next generation on Friday evening. The days will feature Spirit-empowered workshops to equip leaders for next-generation ministry.

The Empowered21 Global Council, a group of 60 leaders from six different continents that provides inspirational oversight to the Empowered21 Network, will also meet in Bogota June 3-5 in advance of the congress.
