Why This Man Wanted a Restraining Order Against God

An Israeli man attempted to file a restraining order against his Creator, according to reports.

“For the past three years, He started to treat me harshly and not nicely. I complained to the police many times,” the man said, according to a translation.

The Times of Israel reports Judge Ahsan Canaan denied the request, saying it was “ludicrous.”

This is not the first time a person attempted court action against God. In 2007, a Nebraska state senator attempted to sue God.

State Sen. Ernie Chambers said God has caused “fearsome floods … horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes,” according to NBC News.

But that too was overturned.

“Given that this court finds that there can never be service effectuated on the named defendant, this action will be dismissed with prejudice,” Judge Marlon Polk wrote in his ruling.
