Since we entered the year of 5778, there’s been intensified warfare going on in the spiritual realm concerning those who are advancing the kingdom of God. I felt heavy turbulence against fivefold ministry leaders, entrepreneurs and Spirit-filled Christian believers. In addition, I sensed an attack against modern-day apostles and prophets who are plowing in present truth to bring societal reformation, glory revival and global awakening. The number 2018 in Hebrew is the word haphekah, which means “overthrow.” Genesis 19:29 says, “So it was that when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the destruction, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.”
Lot received his deliverance, breakthrough and a way of escape through God bringing judgment upon the cities in which Lot resided. He needed to transition into something new by leaving behind that which was familiar. Lot had to move on by not looking backwards. The Lord overthrew the very thing and place Lot to which Lot had become attached. There are demonic strategies of the enemy sent to viciously stop, hinder and stifle the progress of those breakthroughs and any spiritually progressive strides. I believe prophetically that this year, God is going to overthrow everything standing in the way of you fulfilling His purpose and plan in their lives. In addition, as I was in prayer concerning the trajectory of this year 2018, I heard many doors unlocking in the spirit. As I inquired of the Lord to what I was hearing, I suddenly saw a vision of a large “golden door” opening before me.
The Lord directed me to the Scripture passage in 1 Corinthians 10:9 (NLT), which says, “There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.” I love what this passage of Scripture declares, written by Paul, who was facing much opposition for effective apostolic work in advancing the gospel to where he was sent. God opened a door in the face of opposition. He is saying prophetically that this is the year your opposition will be your opportunity. Another translation (NET Bible) states, “because a door of great opportunity stands wide open for me, but there are many opponents.”
Demonic oppositions always indicate God’s opportunities for His people. This vision I had spoke to me prophetically because right out of prayer, I received an email of two major doors opened up for my ministry to reach the masses. God confirmed the vision in my life with an opportunity. He spoke to me and declared that this year 5778 will be the year of the golden opportunity. This year is symbolic and is the year of the gate, and the open door. In others words, I believe this is the year of new opportunities. I believe we are coming into a divine season of unmissed opportunities which will become “golden opportunities.”
Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines golden opportunity as “an excellent chance to do or get something. Collins Dictionary defines it as “a chance to do something that is likely to be successful and rewarding or an excellent opportunity that is not likely to be repeated.” As we obey the Lord by fulfilling the prophetic word spoken over our lives, we will begin to see His blessings, prosperity and divine successes. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:20 (NIV), “Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be supported. Believe His prophets, and you will succeed.”
Success comes when we have faith in God and believe the prophetic Word of the Lord through His prophets. What does the year 5778 mean? There are those who already know that the numeral 5 is a number signifying grace, the numeral 7 speaks of perfection, maturation, divine completion and the numeral denotes a new beginning, resurrection and circumcision. However, when understanding these numbers in relationship to the Hebrew year, the significance is prophetic in essence.
As we look at the significance in this year 5778, we see in part rooted in the 78 portion, as the numeral 70 is represented by the Hebrew letter ayin, and the numeral 8 represented by the Hebrew letter chet. I believe that prophetically and symbolically, the number 70 speaks of the season we are currently in, and ayin as a letter is synonymous of an actual eye. In other words, the word ayin means “eye” in Hebrew. I believe ayin speaks of the year of the eagle declaring keen insight into one’s prophetic purpose and destiny in Christ. I also believe this can further speak of prophetic insight, vision and indication of an opportunity of increased revelation or insight into the things of God concerning one’s life.
Furthermore, I believe it’s an indication that what we see, we will also seize or what we behold, we will give attention to. Finally, the number eight is represented by the Hebrew letter chet, which is synonymous with the image of a door and actually means “door” in Hebrew. Profoundly, it’s making specific reference to an open door. As it is a numeral that represents new life, it is an open door that leads to a new beginning. In this year of new beginnings, we will have the grace to finish, complete and walk through doors of success that will bring wholeness, healing, deliverance and divine blessings. {eoa}
