Following the lead of several European companies, one Wisconsin company has inserted microchips into their employees and hopes to implant others in the future.
The company’s goal is to use the chip as a form of payment around the company offices.
“It’s the next thing that’s inevitably going to happen, and we want to be a part of it,” Three Square Market Chief Executive Officer Todd Westby says. “We’ll come up, scan the item. We’ll hit pay with a credit card, and it’s asking to swipe my proximity payment now. I’ll hold my hand up, just like my cell phone, and it’ll pay for my product.”
The chip is implanted between the thumb and forefinger.
If this sounds familiar, a similar concept was prophesied in Revelation 13:15-18:
He was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one may buy or sell, except he who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.
