With the national day of love, Valentine’s Day, coming up on Sunday, Feb. 14, Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Cece Winans says we must embody the Spirit-filled way of loving others depicted in John 13:34.
As the U.S also celebrates National Marriage Week, organizations across the United States are drawing attention to the need to strengthen marriage by hosting virtual classes and events to build stronger marriages.
“We invite all those who believe that marriage is worth it to join with us to provide virtual tools to support marriages this February,” said National Marriage Week USA executive director Sheila Weber. “Especially during COVID lockdown, we need to help strengthen relationships across the country.”
But developing those healthy relationships starts with recognizing our need for a Savior ahead of our need for a spouse. “We all have this deep longing for belonging” that Dr. Leslie Parrott says we all need to have filled, adding, “And only Jesus can do that.”
