Michael W. Smith’s Antidote for Coronavirus Anxiety

Singer-songwriter Michael W. Smith says one of the best ways to respond to the COVID-19 crisis is by making someone’s day via serving them. That could mean paying one of their bills if they’re struggling, or cooking for them.

“I just want to encourage you,” Smith says. “I think we need a little bit of good news. Those of you who have lost your jobs, I feel your pain; I’m praying for you. I pray that your needs will be met. I think God is going to look after you, so be encouraged.

“It’s time to rise up and be the church. It’s time to dip into your savings, get out of your comfort zone and go change somebody’s life. Make that person’s house payment, go buy that person a meal, just do something to alleviate the pain and the hurt that is going on with so many people.”
