Spirit-Filled Comedian Brings Joy of the Lord During COVID Quarantine

“Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them'” (Ps. 126:2).

The Lord has certainly done a good thing through Israeli-American comedian, Nazareth, and his Live with Naz show, bringing the joy of the Spirit to those suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts and anxiety in the past year of the pandemic.

“Before the pandemic, we planned on numerous events in California because we feel like if we can change California with the gospel, we can change the nation,” Nazareth says in a press release.

He spoke of his Laughter for All events, which were used to raise money for Crisis Pregnancy Centers and other non-profit organizations before the world shut down. “At the end of each of these events, I tell the audience about Jesus, what He has done for my life and what He can do for their lives. There is nothing I have done or will ever do that is more important than sharing the love of God,” Nazareth concludes.

When quarantine made touring impossible, the comedian knew his God-given gift of bringing joy to those who need it most would be more vital than ever, even if the means looked different. As the founder of a ministry that supports Christians in the Holy Land and a co-founder of a ministry that reaches out to thousands of refugees fleeing Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Iran to find refuge in Southern California, Nazareth had his hands full.

Armed with social media and a quick wit, Nazareth reached six different countries through his Dry Bar Comedy video and continues to “minister” to people through laughter. Check it out now. {eoa}
