Ravi Zacharias’ life and legacy are being honored in a livestreamed memorial service today, May 29, at 11 a.m. EST.

Passion founder Louie Giglio will offer the memorial message. Other participants will include Zacharias’ family, leaders and musicians within Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) and friends.

Prominent Christian leaders who knew Zacharias well will offer tributes, including RZIM President Michael Ramsden, athlete and author Tim Tebow, Brooklyn Tabernacle Senior Pastor Jim Cymbala and Giglio.

Vice President Mike Pence will attend the memorial service and offer remarks. After hearing of Zacharias’ death, Pence tweeted: “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ravi Zacharias, a Christian apologist whose ministry for the gospel of Jesus Christ impacted millions around the world. Ravi was a man of faith who could ‘rightly handle the word of truth’ like few others in our time & he was my friend.”

At 74 years old, Zacharias died May 19 after a short battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He leaves behind an international apologetics ministry, his wife of 48 years, Margie, their three children and their eight grandchildren.

Zacharias spent his 48 years of ministry training Christians in apologetics and equipping believers with reasons for their faith around the world.
