Conventions Begin: Godless or God Bless America?

The Democratic Convention taking place this week had many people scratching their heads, wondering if God would have any place.

In 2012, you may recall the very vocal effort to strike any mention of God from the Democratic platform. Only a last-minute shuffle and clever maneuver got Him back for at least an honorable mention.

In 2019 the Democrats decided to excise “So help me God,” from any of their swearing in ceremonies.

With the strong Socialist/Marxist emphasis now an integral part of the Democrat party, many were curious if this anti-God ideology would bleed through the festivities. Remember Karl Marx, the founder, declared, “Religion is the opiate of the people!” Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other socialist speakers were unlikely to invite the people to stand and sing, “God Bless America.”

With the Biden/Harris ticket in place and both candidates strongly pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage, you may be, like me, wondering how they will finesse projecting the image of being more “moderate” and “Christian” to attract voters? Biden launched his “Believers for Biden” website days ago, and “pragmatic moderate” Kamala is touting her “Christian” roots as a Baptist.

I invite you to spend four minutes and watch this video commentary so you’re up to speed on what it means to be a patriotic American honoring our Judeo-Christian roots. Then make sure you read, if you missed it, the commentary this week by Dr. Michael Brown and me on, “What Is Happening to America?
