Consequences of ‘Wokeness’ Will Be Devastating for Future Generations

According to Dr. Michael Youssef, if the church fails to adhere to biblical truth, the consequences of wokeness will be devastating for future generations. The bestselling author compares child-rearing to a “three-legged stool,” stressing the importance of a healthy home, church and school environment.

“The home is No. 1, the church is No. 2 and school is No. 3,” Youssef says. “Even if the school is working against the kids, if they have the strength in the home and in the church, they will make it. But when the church avoids talking about issues or goes along with culture, then kids are confused.

“Satan is working overtime to deceive children,” he adds. “If these words are terrifying, I’m glad they are because it’s time for us to build the fences around our children and their hearts and seal them with the Holy Spirit.

“Children must know that there is a Satan and he hates God; he hates God’s children; and he’s conspiring against them every minute of every day,” Youssef says.” Therefore, they have to galvanize themselves with the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, in order to fight.”

In Hope for This Present Crisis, Youssef provides a diagnosis of the insanity of the current culture and a concise seven-step prescription for restoring sanity to a world gone mad. The new book is available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BAM, Christianbook.com and Leading The Way.

Youssef describes wokeness for his readers. “Wokeness is a religion. It has no God, but it has all the other trappings of a bullying, self-righteous, pharisaic religion. It demands absolute faith and mindless obedience. It has creeds and dogmas that no one dares to violate. Its doctrines can change without warning, and any who don’t get the memo will be stoned as heretics.

“People who transgress the rules of the wokeness religion may spend a lifetime atoning for their sin—but they’ll never be forgiven. Wokeness is a religion without grace or mercy.”

Youssef was born in Egypt and lived in Lebanon and Australia before coming to the United States and fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming an American citizen. He holds degrees from Moore College in Sydney, Australia, and Fuller Theological Seminary in California, with a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Emory University. He founded The Church of The Apostles, which was the launching pad for Leading The Way’s international ministry. Youssef has authored more than 40 books, including popular titles like Jesus, Jihad and Peace and Saving Christianity?

Youssef is the host of the popular TV and radio broadcast Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef, which airs more than 13,000 times every week across six continents in 26 languages—reaching audiences in nearly every major city in the world. His programs attract tens of millions of viewers weekly in the U.S. on major TV networks, including TBN, Daystar, Fox Business, Lifetime, GOD TV, CTN, NRB TV and more.

Equipped with a keen understanding of the Bible, the Middle East, sociological trends in the Western world and popular Christian worldview issues, Youssef is a sought-after voice whose expertise is regularly requested on both secular and Christian media, including Huckabee, Fox & Friends, Eric Metaxas, The Hugh Hewitt Show, The Christian Post, Fox News, Hannity, Glenn Beck, The 700 Club and more. He and his wife reside in Atlanta and have four grown children and 10 grandchildren.
