Oldest Surviving Text From the Bible Is God’s Prayer for Us

Many are familiar with this prayer from the Book of Numbers: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Num. 6:24-26). However, few understand the full reality of its blessing. In his book The Priestly Prayer of the Blessing (March 6, 2018) Warren M. Marcus explains this prayer word-for-word in both English and Hebrew, revealing what it means for Christians who speak it.

The Priestly Prayer of the Blessing explores how this prayer can bring about supernatural favor, prosperity, abundance, healing, strong relationships, protection, order, rest, wisdom, blessings, miracles and more. More importantly, understanding this blessing from God will help readers experience a relationship with Him like never before.

“This prayer isn’t based on how good or how perfect you are. The children of Israel weren’t deserving of this, and neither are we. But this supernatural prayer was so powerful that it caused Israel to experience supernatural favor and blessing from G-D for 40 years as they wandered in the wilderness,” Marcus says.

God first proclaimed the prayer over the rebellious children of Israel. The high priest, Aaron, was to say it every day so the Israelites would experience God’s reality in a personal and powerful way. Christians can still experience this blessing today.

Pat Robertson, founder and chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network, says, “Warren Marcus … has been given new insight on how to enter into a supernatural, experiential, and intimate relationship with the heavenly Father. He has been given the keys to unlock the power behind the only prayer written by God Himself in the entire Bible, the Aaronic blessing. He uncovers the fullness of meaning conveyed from the original Hebrew and shares how to pronounce this prayer over yourself and others in the manner God Himself intended.”

Marcus is a Messianic Jewish believer and an avid student of the Bible, specializing in the Jewish roots of Christianity. He is ordained as a Spirit-filled evangelist in the Southern Baptist denomination. He serves as vice president of Sid Roth’s Messianic Vision Inc., where he oversees the production of the weekly It’s Supernatural! TV show. Marcus has also produced The Great North American Revival DVD series and the award-winning animated children’s series SuperBook and Flying House. He also produced the highest-rated religious TV special of all time, Don’t Ask Me, Ask God, featuring Michael J. Fox, Ned Beatty and others.
