‘Come Back California’ Issues Urgent Call to Faith, Family, Freedom

It’s time to stand up, to speak out. California is worth fighting for.

Those are the words calling Californians—and people around in the world—to connect to a free streaming event, “Come Back California,” on Saturday, Sept. 19, to better understand issues impacting faith, family and religious freedom.

With California in the news daily regarding executive orders that have closed churches, forbidden worship and recent legislation progressively opposing biblical ideals, organizers expect a record number of event viewers.

“There’s a lot of discontentment among the citizens of California. We are hearing from people that they’re frustrated, and our friends are leaving the state and moving to places like Idaho and Texas,” said Gina Gleason, director of Real Impact, an outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills (CCCH), the host ministry. “For those who are staying in the state, we are determined to stand up and express our displeasure with the current government and how they’re dealing with these issues.”

CCCH holds the event each election year. In 2020, speakers are also addressing topics on how reactions to COVID-19 are impacting everyday life, schools, culture and prompting the early release of prisoners.

“Come Back California” will stream from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with a scheduled lunch break. Featured speakers are:

—Larry Elder, radio personality and producer of “Uncle Tom.

—Dennis Prager, radio show host and founder of PragerU.

—Jack Hibbs, pastor of CCCH.

Within an hour of the event’s start, a complete list of speakers and their topics will be posted at comebackcalifornia.us.

“The topics will affect pretty much every voter in the United States,” Gleason said. The Real Impact ministry exists to influence culture with a biblical worldview. In addition to the event, the ministry organizes voter registration events, monitors bills and communicates how they could impact the church, and even collects ballots.

“Come Back California” will help voters understand the issues and prepare to vote in the 2020 November election.

“We want to get information into the hands of citizens and voters and help them grow in knowledge on these issues,” Gleason added. “Our speakers will be able to reach every citizen across the country. They are all dynamic, passionate speakers.”

The event will livestream at: CCCH TV, Facebook Live and YouTube Live.

The sessions will be recorded and available at these sites for viewing afterward.
