Tyler Perry Pays for Senior-Hour Groceries at 44 Kroger Locations
Christian movie mogul Tyler Perry paid for groceries during senior hour in 44 Kroger locations across Louisiana and Georgia.
A Winn-Dixie representative also confirmed that Perry did the same thing in their stores.
Like many grocery stores around the country at this time, Kroger and Winn-Dixie both have “senior citizen hour,” which is a time when only seniors can shop. The goal of this practice is to decrease risk of contracting the coronavirus for those who are at higher risk while shopping.
Kroger confirmed Perry’s generous act on Twitter.
@tylerperry paid it forward and purchased groceries for nearly 3,000 senior shoppers today at Kroger stores across Atlanta. You can see how much this means by the look on their faces. Thank you, Tyler, for your generosity! pic.twitter.com/L57nfNqm3g
