Prophetic Vision: ‘Prepare the Sails’ for Fresh Wind of Holy Spirit

Just recently, the Lord spoke to me as I was praying and showed me a prophetic vision of a sailboat. I heard the Lord say, “Prepare the sails. When I give the command, My people must lift their sails.”

The definition of a sail is “a strong sheet or fragment of fabric attached to a boat used to catch the wind and move the boat forward.” When I saw that the word fragment was in the definition of sail I was reminded of the remnant. A remnant is a fragment of cloth or a small, remaining group of people.

Just as a sail on a sailboat is raised in order to move a boat forward across the water, I believe there is a fresh wind of God’s Spirit coming to fill the sails of the remnant. The wind will not blow the same way it has before. It won’t blow in the same way or in the same direction as it has in the past. This is a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit that will blow and you must be prepared by lifting your sails to catch it.

What is the sail in your life? It is your life, your gifts, your character, your walk with God and the prophetic promises God has spoken over your life. In the right moment, God will call the remnant to lift their sails and this fresh wind will catch their sails to move them forward like never before.

There is no doubt that this is a unique season in our nation and all over the world. However, many prophetic voices are calling this a divine pause. An opportunity God has given to the remnant to prepare them for what will come after this unprecedented time. On the other side of this season, the world and the church will look different than it did before. I believe God is stirring something new in His people right now and challenging us to prepare our sails for the fresh wind that is coming.

Use this unique season as preparation for what is coming. Spend time in the presence of God, in His Word and in worship. We must be strong, focused and ready when the season shifts and the wind of God begins to blow. Get your sails prepared and ready to raise because the best days of the remnant and the church are ahead of us! {eoa}
