Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has had a not-so-secret weapon at his disposal the entire election cycle, and now he’s about to unleash it upon Iowa.

Sunday, Jan. 31, Rand Paul will host a ‘Revolution Continues Rally’ at the University of Iowa. Joining him on stage that day will be a special guest: his father, former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).

“[T]ogether they will focus on energizing the youthful base by discussing the importance of protecting the entire Bill of Rights and being boldly for conservative ideals that limit the powers of the Washington Machine,” the Paul campaign said in a press release announcing the rally. “Rand’s unique message of liberty can unite Constitutional conservatives, young voters, and independent voters, which will lead to a successful showing on caucus night.”

The event will take place in the main lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union, also known as “The Old Capitol,” on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City. It begins at 7 p.m. Voters will caucus in Iowa the next evening.
