Chick-fil-A is honoring those who give back.

From March 1 to May 31, 2021, eligible organizations may apply for the fast food giant’s 2022 award, allowing them to potentially receive from $50,000 up to $350,000 in grants.

According to the Chick-fil-A website, eligible organizations must “have a majority Black board of directors, executive leadership and staff or provide services that currently and intentionally impact Black communities or other communities of color in a quantifiable or measurable way.”

The organization’s focus must also serve in education, hunger or homelessness, of which three applicants for each category will be chosen. Interested groups can apply here.

“There are incredible nonprofit organizations across the U.S. and Canada working to address key issues that disproportionately affect communities of color in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger,” said Rodney Bullard, vice president of corporate social responsibility for Chick-fil-A. “Through our annual True Inspiration Awards, we are honored to help these organizations, based in the communities we serve, extend their impact, helping to pave the way for greater opportunity and equity.”

DuBois Integrity Academy was named the 2021 S. Truett Cathy Honoree for its embodiment of Chick-fil-A founder’s generous, innovative spirit. Craig Cason, the academy director, received an extra-special gift on his birthday this year. Watch this video for his reaction.
