Here at Bonnaroo, it really is baking hot, going up to 95 degrees today—but that’s not the real story. As 100 hours of prayer were invested into this event and “ambassadors” responded to come and share the gospel with people who are here from all over America, things are really heating up!

I personally engaged today with about 25 young people, all of whom accepted my personal testimony tract, and more than half of whom thanked me for it. I spoke with people strolling on the grounds and expressed the love of God to each one personally, which gave me a bridge into their hearts.

When I left early this morning, a lady back home said with some disdain and resignation in her voice, “Huh, good luck,” when I told her where I was going. Many Christian people write off outreaches at events like this because they feel the participants are too far gone to be reached with the gospel. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Recent Barna research reveals that 2 1/2 decades ago, 89 percent of Christians believed each one of us has a personal responsibility to share the gospel in the Great Commission. Today, that figure has dropped a shocking 24 percent.

“But when He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they fainted and were scattered, like sheep without a shepherd” (Matt.9:36).

Be encouraged by the following pictures, hot off the press, showing creative lifestyle evangelism amidst crowds that are receptive and listening as we share the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ at Bonnaroo.
