Ultra-Liberal Website Delivers ‘Surprisingly Accurate’ Review of ‘God and Donald Trump’

Not long after he arrived in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum, President Donald Trump was handed a book by a delegate. It’s a book many Christians and Trump supporters have become very familiar with over the past couple of months.

As seen in the above photo, President Trump help up a copy of God and Donald Trump by Charisma Media CEO Stephen Strang.

Over the weekend, ultra-liberal website politico.com posted its own review of God and Donald Trump by Amy Sullivan titled “Millions of Americans Believe God Made Trump President.” The subhead read: “A surprisingly fascinating book explains why.”

Sullivan termed God and Donald Trump “part spiritual hagiography [biography of a holy person] part Fox News bulletin and part prophecy.” She wrote: “It ultimately says far less about Trump than about the charismatic Pentecostals who were some of his earliest religious supporters and now view his election as the fulfillment of God’s will.”

Sullivan compared the book to the spiritual hagiographies written during the George W. Bush administration about the former president, including George W. Bush, Faith in the White House, during his first term.

In her review, Sullivan said “Strang attempts to explain evangelical fervor for Trump and provides a window into the world of charismatics, a subset of evangelical Christians who believe God still speaks to people through prophecies and is still actively involve in arranging the world of human affairs.”
