Will This Historic Bible Study Bring America to Its Knees?

President Trump’s cabinet is bringing the Bible back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in a bigger and better way than before. A Bible study held among Trump’s top Cabinet picks is making history, according to CBN News.

Health Secretary Tom Price, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue and CIA Director Mike Pompeo are some of the regular attendees.

Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries, who leads the study, told CBN, “It’s the best Bible study I’ve ever taught in my life.” He adds that Trump’s picks are “teachable,” “noble” and “learned.”

Drollinger, a former NBA player, founded Capitol Ministries on the idea that if you change the hearts of lawmakers, their Christian principles will guide them to make good policies.

The man behind the unprecedented Cabinet Bible study has a long track record of making change across America. He started Bible studies in 40 state capitols and holds weekly studies in the U.S. House, Senate and the White House.

It’s groundbreaking since he doesn’t think a formal Bible study among executive Cabinet members has been held in at least 100 years.

Drollinger said it’s especially interesting to see members of the Bible study live out the very principles they discuss together. For example, Drollinger said he caught America’s top cop, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, applying something they’d learned in the Bible study earlier that day in public.

President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are invited to the weekly Bible study and participate as their schedules permit.

To borrow one of my favorite phrases from the Declaration of Independence, I’m glad the Trump cabinet is seeking to govern “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence.”

Put simply, I’m glad they’re seeking help from God. We need it now more than ever.
